A National Day of Service and Remembrance will be observed Tuesday, Sept. 11, in memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11.
The local ceremony, which also honors local first responders, will begin at 9 a.m. on the bandstand at the Lincoln County Courthouse.
The keynote speaker will be Lt. Col. Paul Moffett (retired). Ceremonies will also feature the Fayetteville High School Band and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard. City Mayor Jon Law is expected to introduce the speaker.
The community is invited to attend the ceremony and express their appreciation to emergency responders present.
