Lincoln Health System (LHS), a county-owned, non-profit corporation, has announced the departure of its chief executive officer, Candie Starr, effective today, Aug. 21.
Bob Lonis, Lincoln Health System’s chief financial officer, will serve as the interim CEO and lead the health system until a more permanent replacement can be named, officials stated in a release issued to The Times just before noon.
“Lincoln Health System’s focus during this period of transition is, as it always has been, to provide quality health care to our community and a stable working environment for our employees,” said Anthony Taylor, LHS Board of Trustees chairman.
The Health System Board of Trustees are actively pursing a replacement, he said, adding that board wishes Mrs. Starr the best in her future endeavors.
The Times is working to gather additional information, which will be included in next week's newspaper.
