With the temperature at 26 and the wind chill in the teens, a group of dedicated marchers participate in Monday’s 18th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Day March in Fayetteville. Organized by People Helping People for Progress, the event had as its theme “Freedom, Dignity and Humanity.” Participants walked from Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church to the Courthouse were Wanda Tate sang and local officials talked. The group then marched to St. Paul AME Church for a program honoring the life of Dr. King was presented.
