Local news media – The Elk Valley Times as well as WYTM 105.5 FM – will be covering election night results live from the Lincoln County Election Commission.
In The Times’ case, results will be sent out by way of the newspaper’s “breaking news” text alerts as well as twittered to followers and posted on the paper’s free website, www.elkvalleytimes.com.
“We’ll be working closely with the Lincoln County Election Commission to get returns out as quickly and clearly as possible,” said Lucy Williams of The Times. “We anticipate carrying the early vote as soon as it’s available and then following that with updated running totals throughout the evening.
“Precinct-by-precinct results for Lincoln County will be carried in next week’s edition,” she added.
Of course, the newspaper will also be following returns from other counties in regard to district races and state primaries, and periodically updating those figures throughout the night.
