Fayetteville’s Jeff Alder has announced his candidacy for alderman in the Nov. 6 city elections.

“I am running for alderman, because I feel like I can make a difference in this community,” said Alder in making his announcement. “With my financial background and working relationships with people in this town, I think I can be an asset to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.

“I have served on the Industrial Board and the Chamber of Commerce board of directors, which I feel are great stepping stones to this position,” he continued. “I love the City of Fayetteville and want to see it reach its full potential. I would appreciate your vote in the upcoming election.”

Born and raised in Fayetteville along with his brother, Doug, Jeff Alder is the son of Cindy and the late Bobby Alder. He and his wife, Brooke Browning Alder, have two children, Dylan and Kyndal. They are members of the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville.

Alder attended Fayetteville City Schools and graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1990. He earned his business degree in 1994 from the University of Tennessee.

After graduating from college, he went into banking, and to date, has 20-plus years’ experience in the field. He currently manages the Fayetteville branch of First National Bank.
