Jimmy Clay Johnson, 78, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, (January 10, 2021).Graveside service for Mr. Johnson will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Bro. Mike Johnson Officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Jimmy was born on March 10, 1942 in Fayetteville to the late J.W. “Bill” and Ola Thomas Johnson. He loved old cars, trucks and black powder pistols. Mr. Johnson enjoyed spending time with his family and was a member of the West End Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lee Ann Hall Johnson; children, Lisa Ann (Debbie) Dennis-Harwell of Jolten, Chris (Jennifer) Johnson of Petersburg, Adam (Lisa) Johnson of Fayetteville, Jamie (Jamie) Johnson of Fayetteville, Chad (Melissa) Whitmore of Tullahoma, Ken (Stacy) Whitmore of Tullahoma, Chase (Lisa) McBay of Huntsville; grandchildren, Ben Harwell, Joshua Johnson, Megan (Troy Lee) Newgent, Katie Whitmore, Trey (Brittney) Whitmore, Courtney Posey, and Kelsey Posey, four great-grandchildren, brother, Martin (Diane) Johnson, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Steelman, Dot Richardson, Joe Dan Johnson, Frankie Johnson.
