Higgins Funeral Home announces Chris Ross, CFSP as managing partner

Higgins Funeral Home has announced the appointment of Chris Ross as Managing Partner. His colleague and close friend, Clay Higgins, will continue as the President of Higgins Funeral Home.

“We are very honored to announce that we continue to fulfill our long term plan to care for our community with the dedication and service that began in 1903 by having Chris transition to Managing Partner effective January 15, 2021”, Clay Higgins recently announced. “Chris’ unique skill set, experience, and drive will successfully improve our operational services. Since joining Higgins Funeral Home, he has demonstrated his passion and ability to help the families we serve by implementing some key initiatives to further expand our services,” Higgins added.

Higgins Funeral Home has a rich history, dating back 118 years, of compassionate and excellent service to Fayetteville and Lincoln County. “I look forward to continuing to provide the highest level of service to our community and the families we serve,” added Chris.

Chris has spent 15 years working in funeral service in Michigan, Illinois, and Tennessee. He joined Higgins Funeral Home in 2014 as a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer and Licensed Insurance Agent for the State of Tennessee. He has earned the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP), by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Chris also has his Crematory Operators Certification from the Cremation Association of North America and is a 2010 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL.

Chris is married to Rachel of Lawrence County, Tennessee and they are expecting their first child in May 2021. He is an active member of the Fayetteville Lions Club, Leadership Lincoln, Middle Tennessee Lions Sight Services, Tennessee Funeral Directors Association, and National Funeral Directors Association.
