With the arrival of fall, the City of Fayetteville leaf trucks will start running routes.
The leaf trucks do not have a specific day that the leaves will be picked up. They run routes continuously. The Public Works Department asks everyone to be patient in waiting for pickup.
Residents are reminded that leaves should not be put in bags for city pickup. Bags on the ground will not be picked up, according to Public Works officials. The leaves need to be in a stack by themselves so the truck can vacuum them up.
Residents are also reminded to move their garbage carts out of the road after pickup to help prevent accidents.
