The Humane Society of Lincoln County is operating the Animal Shelter with limited hours to ensure the safety of the public and its dedicated staff.
“Depending on occupancy, we will be accepting animals on a case by case basis,” said Cindy Kite. “Please call 931-433-3726 if you plan to stop by and consider adopting a new pet to keep you and your family company during these trying times.
“It’s a great opportunity to give a needy animal a home, and just think of all the extra time you’ll have to train and cuddle! Might just be the perfect co-worker, and we all know that pets are therapeutic!”
The society’s volunteers are also not able to attend off-site adoptions and other public events to help place its animals, so you are encouraged to consider adopting from the local shelter. The shelter is located at 1718 Pulaski Highway, Fayetteville.
“Call us for questions and visit Petfinder.com, using 37334 zip code,” Kite added. “You just might find your furever furry friend!”
