Chances Increase for Strong to Severe Thunderstorms
- Updated

Provided by Lincoln County EMA and National Weather Service
A thunderstorm complex is forecast to develop west of the Mississippi Delta on Friday. It should move eastward, reaching the Tennessee Valley late Friday night into Saturday morning. These storms could become severe, with wind gusts of 60 mph. Total rainfall amounts in this period should range from 1 - 1.5 inches, with perhaps locally higher amounts. A threat of localized flash flooding is low, although some ponding of water on roads and in low lying areas is possible
