Reed wins Top Soybean Contest

Eric Reed of Elora was the winner of the non-irrigated yield contest in the new Tennessee Top Bean Soybean Contest. Reed’s yield of 89.15 bushels per acre won over a field of 26 producers statewide. Reed produces corn, soybeans and cotton in Lincoln and Franklin counties with his wife, Erin, daughter, Madison, and son, Owen. Formal recognition of the award will be presented at the Middle Tennessee Grain Conference in Tullahoma Feb. 4. Pictured here are Madison, Eric, Erin and Owen Reed.
