Fayetteville Public Utilities (FPU) has temporarily closed its lobbies in response to COVID-19. The drive-thru is remaining open with extended hours from 6:30 a.m., through 6:30 p.m.
“FPU is expecting an increase in traffic at the drive-thru. The best option for customers is to call before coming to the office,” said FPU CEO/General Manager Britt Dye. “There are many questions and problems we can take care of over the phone or through email to keep customers from having to wait in the drive-thru.”
If you have a question about your bill, services or need to report an outage, you can continue to call FPU’s office at 931-433-1522.
If you are paying your bill, it is helpful for you to have your bill and payment method ready before you get to the drive-thru. FPU accepts debit, credit (Mastercard and Visa), cash and check payments. If you are paying by check, FPU asks that your check already be made out before pulling to the window.
If you do not have your bill available or if you need to know the amount due on your payment arrangement, FPU asks that you call the office and a customer service representative can provide you the amount due.
If you need to request a new service or have other account changes, FPU asks that you please call ahead and talk with a customer service representative so that appropriate paperwork may be prepared.
If you need to return any telecom equipment, FPU asks that you call before coming, and a customer service representative will meet you at the door to receive your equipment.
FPU customers have the option to sign up for bank draft which allows them to have their bill amount automatically deducted from their checking or savings account each month.
Customers have several options to manage their account and make payments over the phone or online including:
• Making a payment over the phone via Secure Pay at 1-877-201-7200.
• Downloading the SmartHub app to track usage and pay their bill.
• Making a payment at several financial institutions.
• Utilizing FPU’s Secure Night Deposit.
