Friends, family and members of the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau gathered for a grand opening and ribbon cutting at Bumble Bee Baby & Kids Friday morning.
Mary Ogle, owner of the newly opened store, said she has always wanted to open a store carrying newborn and children’s clothing. Prior to opening the store, she worked part-time at First National Bank for six years.
Mary and her husband, Lee, have two children of their own, Ava, age three, and one-year-old Luke, so juggling a full-time operation and raising two young children will be a new adventure.
She prayed about it, and in a leap of faith, opened the store located at 109 Main Avenue North, across from the Lincoln County Courthouse in downtown Fayetteville.
Customers looking for quality boys’ and girls’ clothing, shoes and toys will be sure to find a good assortment at Bumble Bee Baby & Kids.
“I carry newborn to size 14,” said Mary.
Along with everyday clothing and pajamas, she stocks some smocked items. In addition to McCoy Boys Shoes, she has a nice selection of Baby Deer shoes and boots. A good selection of Melissa & Doug educational toys are available for toddlers and children, along with Poke-A-Dot books and stuffed toys. Her newborn selection includes swaddles, Kyte Baby scratch mittens, bibs and much more.
Store hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
