Updated: The Tennessee Highway Patrol has confirmed that they have a suspect in the deadly hit and run that in the early morning hours Tuesday.

A BOLO (Be On the Look-Out) for the vehicle was lifted Wednesday afternoon. Authorities had been searching for a silver or gray 1998-2002 Lincoln Town Car. THP would not confirm any other details related to the suspect or how the accident happened.

THP has not confirmed the identity of the victim, but according to sources, the victim was a 67-year-old Mulberry man. His body was discovered in a ditch near the intersection of Louse Creek Road and the Lynchburg Highway in Lincoln County. The pedestrian was last seen in the area around 2:30 a.m. 


The Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently seeking information on a fatal hit and run crash involving a pedestrian on Lynchburg Highway near Louse Creek Road in Lincoln County.

The victim was last seen near the area of the crash around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, wrote THP in a post last night. The victim was discovered around 3 p.m.

Investigators are seeking help with finding the vehicle involved in this crash. The suspect vehicle is a silver or gray 1998-2002 Lincoln Town Car. The vehicle should have damage to the front passenger side and possibly the windshield.
