The Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home will host its Annual Christmas Remembrance Service for all those who have lost a loved one this year on Thursday, Dec. 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. It will be an evening of reflection and remembrance through inspiring words, special music, lighting of candles, refreshments and fellowship. The Annual Christmas Remembrance Service is open to all members of the community who have lost loved ones this year, and it is a gift from the funeral home to our community. First United Methodist Church of Fayetteville will hold its Christmas Cantata on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The event will feature “Peace Has Come” by Mary McDonald and directed by Barry Petty, music director, Vickie Halcomb, organist, and guest orchestra and vocalists.
