A food, auction and singing benefit to help underprivileged children in Fayetteville-Lincoln County will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, at The Father’s Refuge Church, 1992 Pulaski Hwy. The event kicks off with a full dinner at 5 p.m., followed by an auction with multiple items to be sold at 6 p.m. and singing at 7 p.m. Dinner includes ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, rolls, tea and desserts for a donation of $8 per person. The Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Faith Ringers Handbell Choir will be ringing in the holidays with their annual Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, in the church’s beautiful sanctuary. As always, the concert is free to all, and everyone is welcome. This concert is the bell choir’s gift to the community. “Carols and Desserts” event will be held at Lincoln Memorial ARP Church, 2 South Lincoln Rd., Fayetteville. Everyone is invited to this annual sing-a-long planned for Sunday, Dec. 9, from 5 until 7 pm. There will be singing of favorite carols and then sharing of favorite holiday goodies. You are invited to bring your favorite holiday sweet to share during fellowship.
Medium United Methodist Church celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior, during its Annual Community Christmas Program on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. Plans include singing Christmas Carols, listening to music by the Hwy 64 Band, enjoying finger food and exchanging presents ($10) limit.
