Bethel Cemetery Decoration and Business Meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 18. Donations may be mailed to Mrs. Betty English, 12 Letha Thompson Rd., Fayetteville, TN 37334.


Pleasant Grove Cemetery Decoration will be observed on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19. Donations for the upkeep of the cemetery will be accepted at the cemetery or may be mailed to Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 65 West Point Drive, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

Unity Cemetery Decoration Day in Howell will be held Sunday, May 19. Dinner on the grounds will begin at 12:30 p.m. BBQ is being provided by Big Country BBQ.  


Non-denominational Community Bible Study has come to Fayetteville. It meets on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. The group will be studying Matthew from August until April. Coldwater Cajun Chicken Supper will be held at Coldwater Methodist Church 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. The adult plate consists of one-half Cajun seasoned chicken, slaw, green beans, roll, choice of dessert and drink. A child’s plate has chicken leg/thigh, green beans, chips, choice of dessert and drink. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children – only a limited number of tickets will be available at the door. Carry-out plates will be available at a drive-through on church grounds.  Tickets are on sale now. Gospel Singing will be held at Brown Teal Road Baptist Church on Sunday, June 2, featuring the group Faith from Manchester beginning at 1:30 p.m. Worship service by Pastor Tim Shields will be held at 11 a.m., and lunch will follow. The Perry Sisters, The Interstate Quartet and the 2x2 Quartet will be featured during a gospel singing on Saturday, June 8, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Lincoln County High School’s auditorium.  Advance tickets are $5 per person and will be $8 at the door.  Walk By Faith, a ministry of Huntland Pentecostal Church, announces their goal to make sure every child has well-fitting shoes. They are providing assistance for families in need of shoes for children, ages one to 18, at no charge, especially for back to school. HPC will furnish one pair of shoes per child. Shoe sizing will be on June 22 at 1 p.m. at HPC Family Life Center, 195 Lee Lane, Huntland. Snacks and games will be available for those who attend. Brown Temple Cemetery has launched its 2019 fund drive for the maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery, and is asking you to join in this endeavor. Annual dues are $50 per year. If you have family and friends buried at the cemetery, please make a donation to Brown Temple Cemetery Fund, c/o Doris Vance Bailey, 1201 McDonald Street, Fayetteville, 37334. “The Encouraging Word” (Romans 8:28), a ministry of encouragement for Christians with same sex attractions, is held Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. at St. John Presbyterian Church, 2959 Huntsville Highway.
