St. Paul AME Church Homecoming will be held Sunday, April 14, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Holsey, pastor, and Sister Faye Kelso, lay minister. Mt. Olive will celebrate the 36th anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. John E. Brown, Sr., along with his wife, Dorothy J. Brown, with services that will get underway at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 14. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Jerry Marable of Mt. Zion of Murfreesboro.
West End C.P.C.A.’s Spring Revival will be held April 16-18 at 7 p.m. nightly with evangelist Elder Benjamin Burt, pastor of Bell P.B. Church. Tuesday night music will be provided by Mt. Zion. On Wednesday, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church will present the music. Thursday, music will be by “Together As One” with Pastor Dezi Fletcher, Sr. The church is located at 510 Kiwanis Street in Fayetteville.

The Seven Last Words of Christ will be presented by the Fayetteville Area AME Ministerial Alliance at 12 noon on Friday, April 19. Featured ministers are the Revs. Coleman March, Robert Bailey, Alma Herbert, Dickey Sebastian, Vanessa Holmon, Ruby Crum and Lance Shelton. Refreshments will be serviced.
West End C.P.C.A. Church will hold its annual “White Night Service” at 6:30 p.m. on April 19. The sermon is titled “The Seven Utterences of Christ on the Cross” by seven preachers, seven words and seven minutes each. Preachers are The Rev. Mitchell Cowley of Wards Chapel AME; the Rev. Fayetteville Area Missionary Society will host 100 Women in Red & 100 Men in Black Concert at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at St. Paul AME Church. Groups will include the Coleman March Ensemble, Sons of Judah, and the Male Chorus of Mt. View in Winchester. Vanessa Dangerfield serves as president.
