Students from Lincoln County High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter recently attended the FBLA State Leadership Conference at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
Students from LCHS competed against other students from across the state, attended workshops and participated in leadership programs.
LCHS placed in three competitions, taking first place in the state in the Management Decision Making event.
Overall, seven LCHS students placed in their events, with five students qualifying to represent Lincoln County and Tennessee at the 2019 FBLA National Leader Conference in San Antonio, Texas, June 29-July 2. In order to advance to the National Leadership Conference, members must have placed among the top four in Tennessee.
Winners are as follows: AJ Alcorn and Jonathon Carpenter, first place in Management Decision Making;
Riley Ary, Brooke Osborne and Sophia Posey, second place in Global Business; and Elizabeth Barnes and Molly Barnes, fifth place in Business Ethics.
FBLA advisers are Brandi Barnes, Heather Savage and Troy Smith.
