On the evening of Thursday, Sept. 6, a Community-Wide College and Career Fair will be hosted at Lincoln County High School.
There will be over 40 representatives from area colleges, technical schools, and branches of the military available from 4-6 p.m. in the commons area of LCHS. All Lincoln County (LCHS, FHS, RCA, and homeschool) and Moore County students in grades 9-12 and their parents or guardians are encouraged to attend.
Also occurring on the evening of Sept. 6 is a Financial Aid Seminar. A representative from the Tennessee Student Assistance Corp. (TSAC), which facilitates the HOPE (lottery) scholarship, TN Promise, Wilder-Naifeh grant, and other financial assistance programs for Tennessee students, will be presenting information to all senior students and their parents and/or guardians in the LCHS auditorium from 6-7 p.m. Information will include post-secondary education planning, insight to the Tennessee Promise program, and the process of filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), necessary to receive lottery scholarship, the TN Promise, the Wilder-Naifeh grant, and any state or federal assistance.
“Both of these events are occurring on Sept. 6,” said Lainie Harrison, guidance counselor. “Please plan to attend this county-wide College and Career Fair from 4-6 p.m., and if you are a senior or a parent or guardian of a senior, plan to attend the Financial Aid Seminar from 6-7 p.m. We hope to see you on Sept. 6th at LCHS.”
