Select students at Chestnut Ridge Academy recently received the ACSI Distinguished Christian High School Student Award (DCHSS). The award is given to honor deserving high school students from Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) member schools. The DCHSS program recognizes select sophomores, juniors, and seniors for their achievements in Academics, Leadership, Fine Arts, Athletics, and Christian Service.
In addition, DCHSS also provides students with potential communication from ACSI member colleges and universities regarding their programs, as well as scholarship packages and other financial support to enable these students to fulfill God’s calling in their lives.
Patti Hunt, Chestnut Ridge Academy’s founder, said, “Our Board of Directors couldn’t be more proud of these students. All of the awards are well deserved.”
Students receiving this year’s awards are: Senior, Sam Swinford (Academics, Leadership, Christian Service); Juniors: Harold Canada (Academics) and Cameron Porter (Academics, Leadership); Sophomores: Sarah Dye (Academics, Leadership, Fine Arts), Garett Golden (Academics, Fine Arts), and David Owen (Academics, Leadership).
