Michelle Donaldson of Spray’s Jewelers in Fayetteville presents a $2,000 check to Cary Sullivan, representing the Multi County Cancer Support Network (MCCSN). The donation is from the store’s campaign held in observance of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Spray’s Jewelers in Fayetteville, along with their loyal customers, raised $2,000 during an October campaign to benefit the Multi County Cancer Support Network (MCCSN).

Held in observance of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the campaign was a huge success, thanks to the support of the community and Spray’s customers, said Michelle Donaldson, owner of Spray’s Jewelers.

“We were just overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from the community and their support of this cause,” Donaldson said after presenting the $2,000 check to Cary Sullivan, representing MCCSN. “Without the community’s support, we couldn’t have done it.”

Spray’s staff first came up with the idea of offering a beautiful “Hope” bracelet for sale last year as part of the campaign to raise money for the MCSSN, which serves Lincoln County.

“Everyone at the store has been touched by cancer,” Donaldson said, noting that due to the success of the inaugural campaign last year, she decided to make the effort an annual event.

Donaldson extends thanks to all those who supported the campaign with purchases and donations.

“It makes me feel good to help others; that is my heart,” she said. “We’re just so overwhelmed by this outpouring of love.”
