Celebrating birthdays

Celebrating their birthdays Monday, Aug. 19, will be Fayetteville’s Joe Buntley, who’ll be turning 95, and his great-grandson and birthday buddy, Joe Wetherholt, who’ll be turning three. In advance of the birthday celebration, the two enjoy the front porch swing at “Pawpaw’s” house. The home has been in the family for 70-plus years, and the swing is where you will find the great-grandfather if you drive by or come for a visit – it’s his favorite place to sit and take in the beautiful views. Joe Buntley is the father of Joanie (Buntley) Hardiman and Freddy Buntley. He has six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and another great-grandchild on the way. Little Joe is the son of Tiffany and Ian Wetherholt of Hendersonville.
