The 18th Annual Kids’ Fishing Day will be held from 8 a.m. until 12 noon Saturday, June 8, at Stone Bridge Park Pond.
Presented by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Fayetteville Parks and Recreation, Walmart and Elks Lodge 1792, the event will get underway with registration at 7 a.m. for children who can hold a pole to those 12 years of age.
Some poles, tackle and bait will be available for your use, and free hot dogs and drinks are offered. There will be prizes, tagged money fish and trophies.
Over 2,500 pounds of catfish have been stocked in the channel.

Seniors 60 years and older can fish that same day, June 8, after the event from 12 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Fishing will be open daily after the event, from 6:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. All applicable Tennessee fishing licenses are required.
There is no rainout date for Kids’ Fishing Day.
