The Atlanta Board of Realtors recognized the top 10 individual realtors at its annual Multi-Million-Dollar Sales Club gala on March 8 at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead.

Based on his 2012 sales, Chip Wallace, formerly of Fayetteville, received recognition as the number two individual realtor in the Atlanta board. Chip is the son of Tom and Celia Wallace of Fayetteville and a 1989 graduate of Lincoln County High School.

Chip just completed his sixth year as a realtor, serving primarily the Atlanta in-town market, with a special focus on City of Decatur, Oakhurst, Candler Park, Lake Claire, Druid Hills, Virginia Highland, Morningside, Kirkwood, East Lake, and Avondale Estates. In addition to working with individual homeowners and home buyers, Chip works with several in-town renovators and builders.

Chip’s award-winning year of 2012 featured 54 closings and $22.5 million in sales, his clients evenly split between buyers and sellers.

In each of the last four years, he has ranked in the top 1% of more than 6,000 members of the Atlanta board.  Since 2009, Chip has sold 165 homes as either listing or buyer’s agent, totaling over $64 million.

Prior to his career in real estate, Chip worked in public policy in Washington, DC, for five years, moving to Atlanta in 2000 to serve as director of major gifts and planned giving at Agnes Scott College and later as planned giving director at Emory University. He received a B.A. in history and German studies from Sewanee, the University of the South, in 1993.

Chip and his wife, Kim, and young son, Joyner, live in Decatur.
