State Sen. Jim Tracy (R-Shelbyville) has been recognized by the Development Districts Association in Tennessee (TDDA) for legislative achievements benefiting the people of the 14th Senatorial District, which he represents.
Tracy received the award on Tuesday as the group gathered for a statewide meeting in Nashville.
The Tennessee Development District Association is an association of the nine statewide districts, which were established by the General Assembly under the Tennessee Development District Act of 1965. The Tennessee Development District Association was established to serve as a statewide forum for the diverse problems the districts must solve in their mission to serve 95 counties and some 350 municipalities
“I am very humbled to receive this award,” said Sen. Tracy. “It is my sincere hope to make a positive difference during my years in the General Assembly. I look forward to partnering with our Development Districts to expand economic opportunities for our citizens and help citizens with disabilities and other needs receive assistance to improve their lives.”
