Tickets are now on sale for the Friends of the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Library Spring Gala and Auction.
The group’s fund-raiser will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the library, 306 Elk Avenue North. Ticket outlets are the two Bank of Lincoln County branches in Fayetteville, and Carter’s Drug Store on the square. A limited number of tickets are also available at the library.
Tickets may also be purchased from any board member: Nancy Glass, Mary Jo Counts, Libby Craig, Mary Ruth Golden, Pierrine Thomas, Linda Holland, Lynn Kronk, Barbara Beyl, Rebecca Parker or Chris Dodd.
Price of each ticket is $40, which includes wonderful food and beverage, live entertainment by local group Blue Velvet, and a chance to bid on exciting items, including movie and theater tickets, gift certificates, goods and services. All proceeds from the evening are used to provide programming and equipment for the library, and to help retire the building debt.
“Consider getting a group together to come out and support the library, which is always decorated in spectacular fashion for this event,” said Chris Dodd. “We’re proud of our library, and we want to show it!”
