The state has given the green light to the William D. Jones Boulevard project, which will see improvements being made to the connector between Washington Street to Wilson Parkway.

“The contract for William D. Jones Boulevard is in the mail,” said City Administrator Scott Collins during Tuesday’s meeting of the Fayetteville Board of Mayor and Alderman, noting that federal and state project numbers have been assigned to the work. “So that project is officially on go.”

The work includes minor widening and realignment, shoulder re-enforcement, and paving, as well as the addition of curbing and guttering and milling and drainage components.
