‘Spooky Tails’ set Oct. 12 at Stonebridge

Spooky Tails, a day of activities and events, including a 5K Run, One Mile Fun Run will be held Saturday Oct. 12 at Stonebridge Park in Fayetteville for the benefit for the Humane Society of Lincoln County.

The day’s activities will get underway with a 5K run that will begin at 8 a.m. that morning. It will be followed by the one-mile fun run at 9 a.m. Registration on-site for both runs will get underway at 7 a.m. Awards will be given out for the 5K run.

Additionally, beginning at 12 noon, organizers will hold a “Dog Howl-o-ween” contest. The cost is just $5 per entry. The winner will get a basket full of goodies.

Then at 3 p.m., a bone drop will be held, in which only 200 bones will be sold with a number on them and then dropped from about 20 feet from the air onto a target and the closest bone to the target will win $500. The cost to enter is $25 per bone.

Beginning at 4 p.m. Jacob Painter will perform and then at 5 p.m. Nikki Tucker will hit the stage. Both of these talented individuals are past Lincoln’s Got Talent winners.

Throughout the day there will arts and crafts vendors as well a food vendor participating in the event. There will also be an inflatable bounce and slide for the children to enjoy as well. Shoney Bear will be present, and children are encouraged to find him to receive their free goody bag.
