Local entrepreneur and businesswoman Debra Self Smith of Fayetteville has achieved the status of Mary Kay Independent Sales Director by exceeding sales and team building goals set within her Mary Kay business.
Mary Kay Independent Sales Directors build successful businesses with the income potential freedom and flexibility that accompany an entrepreneurial business opportunity.
Ms. Smith began her Mary Kay business as an Independent Beauty Consultant in 2010 and as a direct result of her business acumen, sales and team building, she has achieved the status of Independent Sales Director. As an independent sales director, she will provide education, leadership and motivation to other Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants and offer her customers a personalized beauty experience with the irresistible Mary Kay products.
“This will enable me to help other women recognize and accomplish their dreams,” said Ms. Smith. “As we become adults, we tend to stop dreaming and do not realize that the ability to make them come true lies within the talents and abilities God gave us from the beginning. Our visions become clouded with doubt from outside sources and words that have been spoken over time. If we dare to dream, we have the ability through consistency and goals to make them happen.”
“Mary Kay independent sales directors emerge as leaders and mentors amongst the independent sales force,” said Darrell Overcash, president of Mary Kay Inc. U.S. “As we celebrate Mary Kay Inc.’s 50th anniversary, we are thrilled to also celebrate our independent sales force member’s achievements that come from hard-work, professionalism and determination.”
In preparation for the next phase of her business, Ms. Smith was invited to attend Leadership, a Mary Kay conference where she will learn valuable information and education regarding business management, marketing strategies, sales technique and personal development.
