The latest edition of Lincoln County’s Pictorial History books are now available at the register of deeds’ office in the Lincoln County Courthouse.
“We’re tremendously to have this volume now available to the public,” said Jack Towry, who along with fellow committee members compiled the book over the past year or more.
The 538-page edition features thousands of photographs, depicting various aspects of Fayetteville and Lincoln County’s 200-year history.
“It’s another means of preserving our Lincoln County history,” Towry said, comparing the Pictorial History to the Heritage books published several years ago. “Where the Heritage book was mostly written and contained family histories, the Pictorial book is basically our history in photographs.
The Pictorial History books are available at a cost of $60 each in the Lincoln County Register of Deeds Office, room 104 of the Lincoln County Courthouse. The cost is $67 if the books are shipped.
Copies of the first volume of the “Lincoln County, Tennessee, 1809-2009, A Pictorial History” also remain available in the register’s office. Those are being sold for $60 each as well.
