The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development has announced that Runway Centre Industrial Park just off the Huntsville Highway is one of four new Select Tennessee Certified Sites.
The Select Tennessee program was launched in 2012 to help Tennessee communities prepare available industrial sites for investment and expansion. The program sets rigorous standards to give companies reliable information during the site selection process.
“This will bring a great deal more awareness to that park,” said Elaine Middleton, executive director of the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Industrial Development Board, during the board’s work session Thursday, noting that site consultants consider those sites first in presentations to industries looking to expand or relocate.
“Elaine has put a lot of work into this,” said Ron Mahal, board chairman, noting that the last site here to be named a Select Tennessee Certified Site was the property where TMD Molding & Die located. “This will give our community a big advantage, and we appreciate Elaine’s work as well as that of the state Department of Economic and Community Development.”
