Reward still stands in fireworks theft case

Lincoln County Area Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for tips that will help solve a case of theft involving thousands of dollars worth of fireworks.

According to authorities, the fireworks, valued between $5,000 and $6,000, were stolen early Sunday morning, June 2, at the Fireworks Factory in Park City.

“The front door was smashed,” said Investigator Mike Claiborne of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. “A dark color Ford Explorer was seen in front of the building.”

The burglary took place around 2:30 a.m.

Anyone who may have seen anything in the vicinity of the building is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 433-9821.

A reward is being offered by Lincoln County Area Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the burglary. You may remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.
