The Believers’ 33rd Anniversary Gospel Singing will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, at Guntersville Lake at 6 p.m. The event will feature Denise Hopkins-Jaco of Toney, Ala.; Back Home of South Pittsburg; and The Believers of Guntersville. Smithland Community Church will host a revival from Sunday, Sept. 15, through Tuesday, Sept. 17. Sunday services will begin at 6 p.m., and Monday and Tuesday services will get underway at 7 p.m. Bro. Ronnie Gay will be the speaker. Pastor is Bro. Charles Keller. Everyone is invited to attend.


Family and Friends Day at Brown’s Temple AME Church will be held Sunday, Sept. 15. The theme is from Malachi 3:6, “Everything has changed … but God is still the same.” Morning service begins at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Barbara Sanderfur speaking and St. Paul Fayetteville Choir providing music. Minister Brenda Bass will lead the afternoon service at 2:30 p.m. with Sons of Judah providing the music. Lunch will be served between services. The Rev. Lance Shelton is pastor of the church.


A gospel singing at New Life Heart to Heart Church will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m. Featured singers are “The Lodge Family” Everyone is welcome. For more information, call Brother George at 931-993-8920. The church is located at 1922 Wilson Parkway.


A gospel singing will be held at Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. Featured singers will be Cross Haven, of Eva, Ala., and Dale and Sheila Cross of Toney, Ala. Coldwater United Methodist Church will host its annual homecoming Sunday, Sept. 22. This is a special homecoming as it marks the 100th anniversary of the church. Worship service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Beaty as the guest speaker and lunch to follow. Singing will be after lunch with Golden Hollow performing. Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church will host a fall revival on Oct. 2, 3 and 4 beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. There will be a different speaker each night. On Wednesday, Pastor Tim Wright is the featured speaker. Evangelist James Crutchfield is the speaker for Thursday, and on Friday Minister Kevin Griffin is the speaker. As always, everyone is welcome.  Pastor is Craig Carmichael.


“Harvest Happening”, St. Anthony Catholic Church’s annual fall festival, will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Cost for the spaghetti and lasagna dinner is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. There will also be hamburgers, hotdogs, polish sausage and authentic Mexican cuisine for lunch. There will also be bargain sales, games, face painting, prizes and concessions. Proceeds benefit local charities. The church is located at 1900 Huntsville Highway in Fayetteville.


Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its annual Sunday School Day on Oct. 13. The 11 a.m. speaker will be Minister Kathy Brown, District Missionary of the Elk River District Missionary Baptist Association of Middle Tennessee.
