A tent revival is scheduled for July 7-9 at the corner of Kiwanis and McDonald Street getting underway at 7 p.m. nightly. The revival is sponsored by the Community Union Service. Contact The Rev. Craig Carmichael at 931-433-7502 for additional information.


Harmony Hill Church of God VBS, “Face your Fears at Colossal Coaster World”, is continuing this week, through Friday, July 12, from 9-11:30 a.m. for children ages two through fifth grade. Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church “Faith Ringers” Hand Bell Choir will present their summer concert on Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church, located at 1015 Lewisburg Highway. Decoration Day at Shady Grove Cemetery will be held Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m. Donations may be made on Decoration Day or mailed to Shady Grove Cemetery, P.O. Box 1, Flintville, 37335.


Women’s Day will be observed at New Haysland Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, July 14. The morning speaker will be Minister Kathy Brown from Thompson Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Shelbyville, and the afternoon speaker will be Minister Carlene Taylor from Holly Covenant Original Church of God in Winchester. The Rev. Wayne Jones is the church’s pastor.


Family and Friends Day at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church will be held Sunday, July 14, at 11 a.m. The message will be presented by Minister Shiro Burnett, and everyone is welcome to attend. The church is located at 305 West Maple Street, Fayetteville. Craig Carmichael is pastor.


Booneville Church of Christ will host a gospel meeting Monday through Thursday, July 14-18. Sunday morning begins with Sunday school at 10:15 a.m.; preaching starts at 11 a.m.; and evening services begin at 7 p.m. Lunch will be served after Sunday morning services. Everyone is welcome.


Vacation Bible School at Kirkland Baptist Church will be the week of July 15-20. It will begin each night with a meal served at 5:30 p.m.  Classes will begin at 6 p.m. with Bible stories, memory verses and crafts. Family and friends are invited to attend family night, Sunday evening following Bible School. Kirkland Baptist Church is located in the Kirkland community, 655 Ardmore Highway. The Ark Church is sponsoring its annual Vacation Bible School for children ages four and up on July 24, 25 and 26 from 6 until 8 p.m. at 303 Morgan Avenue South, Fayetteville. This year’s theme is “God’s Greatness, Authority and Love!” There will be games, and lots of fun. Food will be served each night. “Fill My Cup” Women’s Conference at Elkton Baptist Church is Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Jo Carwile, featured guest speaker, is from Valley View Church, Louisville, Ky. There will also be special music. Registration deadline is Aug. 2. Conference registration fee is $15.
