A spring revival will be held at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 305 West Maple Street, on April 23, 24 and 25 beginning at 7 p.m. On all three nights, the speaker will be Pastor Chazen Brown of Nashville. There will also be a music ministry. As always, everyone is welcome. Craig Carmichael is pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.


Brothers in Unity Gospel Explosion Tour 2014, presented by Virtuous Productions, will be held Saturday, April 26, at 6 p.m. at Ninth Grade Academy on South Main Avenue in Fayetteville. Featured groups are Darrell Petties and Taken 2 of Memphis; The New Coverted Voices of Tupelo, Miss.; The Wells Brothers of Earle, Ark.; Revised of Plantersville, Miss.; Broken of Nashville; and Shawn Moore & New Fellowship of Huntsville, Ala. Gospel Singing will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Acts Worship Center, 1449 Charity Lane, Hazel Green, Ala., featuring the Holley Family of Hohenwald and Denise Hopkins-Jaco of Toney, Ala. For information, call Glenis Sanders at (256) 828-6097.


Renaissance Quartet, the nationally known and award-winning quartet of Bethel University, will be in concert on Sunday, April 27, during the 10:30 a.m. worship service at Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The public is invited to attend the concert, which will last approximately 45 minutes. No sermon is planned for the service. Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church is located at 1015 Lewisburg Highway.


Mary’s Chapel AME Church will host Homecoming on Sunday, April 27. Guest for the 2 p.m. service is Elder Sandy R. Kinslow, pastor, and congregation from Meridianville Bottom Primitive Baptist Church. Dinner will be served after morning services. The Rev. Ernest M. Latham is host pastor.


Mother’s Day Tribute, hosted by Fayetteville First Seventh Day Adventist Church and Dr. Theodore Brown, pastor, will be held Saturday, May 3, at 11 a.m. The theme is “Women of Faith”, and the speaker for the event will be Dr. Edith Frasier of Huntsville, Ala. Mrs. Wanda Tate of Fayetteville will be the guest soloist. Mrs. Virginia March and Ms. Amenia Landers will be recognized for their dedicated Christian service in the community, church and in their homes. Lunch will be served immediately after the program. At 3 p.m., Dr. Frasier will hold a forum discussing women’s issues. The program is sponsored by the Women’s Ministry Department. Fayetteville First SDA Church is located on 385 William D. Jones Boulevard.


Homecoming at Parks City Baptist Church will be held Sunday, May 4. A singing by Denise Hopkins-Jaco will begin at 10:30 a.m., with worship services at 11 a.m. For more information, call (931) 433-5002. The church is located at 2863 Huntsville Highway.

Revival at Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church, 13363 Stateline Road in Taft, will held May 12-16 at 7 p.m. each evening. The evangelist will be Joel Wallace, pastor of Stateline Grove (Peppertown) Freewill Baptist. Special singing each night. For information, call (256) 423-4429.


John Long Noonday Bible Ministry is being held each Wednesday at 12 noon at St. Paul AME Church at 521 West College St. This Bible Study is open to everyone but especially to those who are unable to attend an evening Bible Study.  If you work at night, unable to drive at night, or if your church doesn’t hold Bible Study, etc., members invite you to join them each Wednesday as they study the Word of God.
