B.I.N.G.O., Building Intelligence of New Generation Oracles, is set for Saturday, April 5, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Charles Gleghorn Community Center. The young adults of St. Paul AME Church will host a night of fun for the entire family. Games include Bible Trivia, How Much Do I Know About You?, BINGO and other games for all members of your family. Door prizes will be given throughout the evening. A $5 donation is requested for those ages 14 through adult and $1 for those ages one to 13. Children ages five and under are admitted free. Refreshments will be served. A pre-anniversary banquet for Pastor John E. Brown will be held at the Fayetteville Recreation Center on April 5 from 6 until 8 p.m. Tickets are two for $25. Everyone is welcome.
Pastor John and First Lady Brown will celebrate their 30-year anniversary on Sunday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive M.B. Church. The speaker is the Rev. Christopher Good of St. John, Hendersonville. The climax of the event will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Keith Avent of Brandon’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Bell Buckle. Mt. Olive is located at 239 Shelbyville Highway.
“The Seven Last Words of Christ” by legendary composer Joseph Haydn will be presented by The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church on Good Friday evening, April 18, at 7 p.m. It will be presented free of charge as an offering to the community, and there will be a nursery provided. Joining the Adult Choir of the church offering will be friends from the community, a string ensemble and a quartet of soloists. The ARP Church is located at 1720 Huntsville Highway.
A spring revival will be held at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 305 West Maple Street, on April 23, 24 and 25 beginning at 7 p.m. On all three nights, the speaker will be Pastor Chazen Brown of Nashville. John Long Noonday Bible Ministry is being held each Wednesday at 12 noon at St. Paul AME Church at 521 West College St. This Bible Study is open to everyone but especially to those who are unable to attend an evening Bible Study. If you work at night, unable to drive at night, or if your church doesn’t hold Bible Study, etc., members invite you to join them each Wednesday as they study the Word of God. Rev.
