Free clothes, shoes, coats and more will be given away on Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Old Time Christian Outreach Center at 1992 Pulaski Highway, next to the Father’s Refuge Church, located on the left one-half mile past Lincoln Paving on U.S. Highway 64 West. A benefit for Browns Temple Cemetery will be held at Mary’s Chapel AME Church, 10 Wilson Road, Fayetteville, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 17. The special guest is The Coleman March Ensemble. Donations may also be sent to the Browns Temple Cemetery Fund, c/o Doris Vance Bailey, 1201 McDonald Street, Fayetteville, 37334. Annual dues are $50.


A benefit for Katrese Brown, who has fallen ill, will be hosted by her classmates in the Lincoln County High School Class of 1986. The benefit will be held Saturday, April 28, at 5 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Soloists are requested with “A” and “B” selections, as well as praise dances or whatever God places on your hearts to do. Monetary donations will be accepted.
