The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Unity Banquet, sponsored by Mary’s Chapel AME Church, will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, at 5 p.m. at the Charles Gleghorn Community Center. Doors open at 4 p.m. for fellowship. Tickets are available for a $10 donation and can be obtained from any church member or at the door on the day of the event. January marks the birth month and national holiday of the late Dr. King. For more information about the banquet, call Dennis Eddins, chairperson, at 205-4158.


Expression of Appreciation Service for the Rev. Dezi Fletcher, Sr., and Nancy Fletcher will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, at 5 p.m. at West End CPCA Church. Congregants will share their love for the pastor and first lady of the church and express appreciation for all they do. Those wishing to participate are invited to do so – group songs, solos, praise dances, poems or anything on your heart. Everyone is invited to attend.


The seventh anniversary for Pastor Dezi Fletcher, Sr., and wife, First lady Nancy Fletcher, will be observed on Sunday, Jan. 14, at West End CPCA Church. Special guests at the 10 a.m. service will be held the Rev. Harris Lee Toney and the New Vernon Grove Church Family of Chattanooga. The 2 p.m. special guests will be the Rev. Ernestine Gordon and New Hope CPCA Church Family. Everyone is invited to attend.


Revival services at Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church, located at 267 Lincoln Road in Fayetteville, will be held Sunday, Jan. 14, through Wednesday, Jan. 17. Sunday service worship begins at 5 p.m., with services on Monday through Wednesday getting underway at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Bro. Chris King from Hickory Grove Baptist Church of Huntland.
