First Baptist Church’s Family Outdoors Expo will be held Saturday, Feb. 8 Registration and children’s activities will be held from 3 until 5 p.m. From 5 until 6 p.m., venison and beef chili dinner will be served. Clay Dyer is the featured speaker, with a message titled, “If I Can, You Can!” At 7 p.m., door prizes for men, women and children will be presented.
Family Life Day will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, at Fayetteville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. If you are concerned about Satan’s attacks on family – divorce, addictions, confusion, rebellion and diseases – you’re invited to join for the Family Life Day to obtain information based on Biblical concepts regarding these issues. Sabbath School is at 9:15 a.m., morning worship service at 11 a.m. with Elder Jeremiah Davis as keynote speaker. A Sabbath fellowship lunch will be served after morning worship. The Annual Clergy Appreciation Meal will be hosted by the Highland Rim Civitan Club at Miss Betty’s Restaurant next to Piggly Wiggly in Parks City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Active Christian pastors are invited, and the theme of the evening is to honor military chaplains lost during World War II along with troops lost when the ship sank off the coast of Newfoundland.
GriefShare classes, a weekly seminar and support group for people grieving the death of someone close, will begin Sunday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m. at West End Baptist Church, 200 North Morgan Street, Fayetteville. A Black History Program hosted by Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church will be held on Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. The program will consist of skits with members of the community. There will also be praise dancers and worship choirs. Mt. Zion is located at 305 West Maple Street, where Craig Carmichael is pastor.
John Long Noonday Bible Ministry is being held each Wednesday at 12 noon at St. Paul AME Church at 521 West College St. This Bible Study is open to everyone but especially to those who are unable to attend an evening Bible Study. If you work at night, unable to drive at night, or if your church doesn’t hold Bible Study, etc., members invite you to join them each Wednesday as they study the Word of God. Rev.
