Riverside Christian Academy hosted a Patriot Day Prayer Luncheon Wednesday, Sept. 11.
The events of the luncheon focused on remembering the tragedies of Sept. 11, 2001.
Local ministers and RCA students led prayer for the Lincoln County community, the nation, peace and for healing for those who were affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
RCA’s Head of School, James Bryant, also honored the men who have been serving on the school campus through the military’s Innovative Readiness Training Program for the last five weeks. Each Airman was given a gift bag with various treats and thank you cards written by RCA students.
“It was great to have so many members of our community on campus for the prayer luncheon,” said Bryant. “It is encouraging to see a group of people come together in prayer for our community and nation.”
RCA’s next prayer luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13, with State Sen. Jim Tracy as the guest speaker.
