William Maxie Clark, 53, of Fayetteville, died Thursday evening (Feb. 4, 2010) at his residence. He was a native of Harvest, Ala., son of the late Mack and Tula Clark and was an auto parts clerk. Margaret Cunningham, 95, a resident of Fayetteville, died Saturday (Jan. 30, 2010) at Donalson Care Center. She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late George and Naomi Giles Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Boonshill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her children, Nancy Wright and husband, Robert Wright, of Franklin, Billy Giles Cunningham of Eagan, Minn., Sally Sain of Fayetteville, William Harry Cunningham, Jr., and wife, Edwena, of McBurg and Mary Bass of Warner Robbins, Ga.; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Cluston Joel Scott, 73, of Fayetteville, formerly of Huntsville, Ala., died Sunday (Feb. 7, 2010). He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and an avid Alabama Fan, loving father, Pa Pa and hard working Southern Gentleman who never went a day without working. He went through lots of pain due to an extended illness, but never complained. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Regena; parents, Onan and Mattie Scott; two nephews, Larry Marvin and Roger Scott; and brother-in-law, Donald Marvin. She was a seamstress and a member of the Kirkland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Isom Hosea Smith who passed away in 1979. Gary Ray Wimberly, 60, a resident of Camp Hill, Ala., died Friday (Jan. 29, 2010) in Opelika, Ala. A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Wimberly was the son of the late Coleman and Jewel Flynt Wimberly, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a butcher for Winn Dixie Grocery Company.
