The Patrick Rehab and Wellness Center will hold a support group for adults suffering with communications disorders on Thursday, March 21, at 5 p.m. at the Patrick.
Those who will benefit from the group include those who suffer from Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Traumatic Brain Injury, Guillia-Barre Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis and Parkinson’s Disease.
The purpose of this support group is to provide a social network for individuals suffering from communication disorders. This group will provide a safe environment for individuals in the community to discuss functional communication strategies, increase self-esteem and provide emotional support for individuals with communication disorders. Monthly group meetings will be held and facilitated by members of the group.
