The Moore County campus honors program at Motlow College will host a yard sale on Saturday, July 12, to raise funds for a trip to the National Collegiate Honors Council Conference in Denver this coming November.

The fundraiser event will be held at the Baptist Collegiate Ministries building on the Moore County Campus between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m.

At the conference, Motlow students, along with honors students from across the nation, will learn leadership skills and participate in academic discussions. Additionally, Motlow students Dallas Foster and Heather Morris, along with Dr. Scott Cook, associate professor of history and honors program advisor, will make presentations over honors seminars that Cook teaches.

“The students participating in the National Collegiate Honors Council trip are exceptionally motivated, academically talented and deserving students,” said Cook. “Please consider supporting them to make this trip possible.”

“The opportunity to take this trip will be enriching and will help me achieve my future academic goals,” added Morris. “We would appreciate participation in this sale to help us realize this opportunity.”

“I am certain that all of the students attending will bring back with them a plethora of newfound knowledge and invaluable leadership skills,” said Foster. “The sale is a great way for everyone in the community to show their support for this truly enriching opportunity.”
