All Motlow College locations – the Moore County campus and Fayetteville, McMinnville and Smyrna centers – will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 21 to permit faculty and staff to attend fall convocation.
Faculty and staff from all Motlow sites will meet on Motlow’s Moore County campus for the annual assembly, during which preparations are made for the fall semester. This year’s convocation agenda includes welcoming remarks by Dr. Marylou Apple, president of the college; introductions of new employees; updates on college programs; recognition of faculty and staff accomplishments; presentations of service awards; and faculty discipline meetings.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this brief closing,” said Dawn Copeland, interim vice president for academic affairs. “Convocation is a valuable opportunity for Motlow College employees from our various campuses to share information and plan for the upcoming academic year.”
Online classes and Saturday classes at Motlow’s Smyrna Center begin on Aug. 24, with regular classes beginning on Aug. 26 at all sites.
