Moore finalist for Mr. Football

Fayetteville High School’s Brandon Moore has been selected as a Tennessee Titans Mr. Football finalist for Division 1, Class 1A.

Moore is join by other finalist Braxton Gives of Gordonsville; Parker McKinney, Coalfield; Kade Pearson, Huntingdon; and Garrett Raulston from South Pittsburg.

“Brandon has been a great assent to the Tigers his entire career,” Coach Alvin Palmer said. “He’s not just a threat carrying the football but is also one of our leaders on defense.

“But, it’s all on him now,” Coach Palmer added. “He’s got the grades and opportunity to play at the next level. I hope he chooses what is best for him and his future.”

With a 4.5 speed in the 40, Moore has received offers from Navy, UTSA, Arkansas Monticello and Faulkner. He’s maintained a 3.43 GPA and has an ACT score of 22.

During the 2017 regular season, Moore accumulated 1,855 all-purpose yards. Rushing, he put up 1,305 yard in 130 carries for a 10.2 yard average and 17 touchdowns. In the air, Moore had 9 catches for 211 yards, averaging 23.4 yards per catch with 1 touchdown. On special teams, Moore accumulated 339 yards in 14 tries and 1 score.

Defensively, Moore finished with 85 tackles, 3 for a loss, with 1 interception.

Moore finishes his career as a Tiger with 6,315 all-purpose yards in 482 touches for a 13.1 average with 66 touchdowns. On the ground, he finishes with 3,674 yards in 362 carries, averaging 10.2 yards a try, and 47 touchdowns. In the air, he has 52 catches for 1,222 yards, averaging 23.5 yards per catch, with 12 touchdowns. On special teams, he has 1,218 yards in 54 returns for 6 scores.

Defensively, Moore finishes with 248 tackles, 22 tackles for a loss, with 10 interceptions during his career.
