An informal Meet & Greet will be held Saturday morning, Oct. 6, with candidates vying for aldermanic seats on the Fayetteville City Board.
The event, co-sponsored by Southeastern Grants & Urban Planning, LLC, (segUP) and Action Lincoln County, will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at 204 Washington Street East in Fayetteville.
“The format will be an informal meet and greet for candidates and voters so that voters can interact with candidates one-on-one and ask them their questions,” said Perry Hall of segUP, noting that there will be no panel discussion.
Candidates will each be given two minutes to introduce themselves and explain their reason for running and what they would hope to accomplish if elected as aldermen. Then the candidates will be available to mix and mingle with voters.
