Middle Tennessee Crappie Club held a crappie fishing tournament on Black Friday instead of shopping.

We had 9 teams fish this event. It was a nice day to be on the water as the temperatures got up into the 50’, and with the sun shining on you, it felt really good outside.

Our tournament was won by the team of Matthew Nash and his son Evan Nash. They bested the field with a seven-fish limit of fish, weighing in at 7.12 pounds. Coming in second place was the team of Larry Britton and Robert Baker. They had 6.52 pounds. The big fish had to be a black nose crappie this day, and we had a tie at 1.51 pounds between Coby Edwards fishing alone and Ethan Sanchez and Toby Ivey.

MTCC will be fishing again on Normandy Dec. 16. Congrats to all those who placed and won today.
