Several local talents, all members of Carriage House Players, were in Franklin recently to do voices as part of a national radio campaign for Cracker Barrel.
Cracker Barrel had engaged Euro RSCG, based in downtown Chicago, to refresh its brand communications and produce a multi-faceted campaign, which included national radio spots. The company is an advertising agency for national brands including Citigroup, Sprint, Sears, and Groupon.
Euro’s new campaign, “Handcrafted by Cracker Barrel,” is highlighted in radio spots featuring the voices of actors from different community theatre groups. And several local talents were among those selected to do voices for the spots.
Area performers, Lisa Adams, Emily Brady, Randy Neely, and Ben Spears, members of Carriage House Players theatre group here in Fayetteville, were chosen by Euro to record the latest holiday commercial for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.
The group, accompanied by their director, Mickey Johnson, traveled to Franklin to record at Dark Horse Recording Studios, home to entertainers such as Taylor Swift, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty. The group’s commercial can now be heard on radio stations nationwide.
“The new campaign really captures the multifaceted experience that makes Cracker Barrel special and presents us in a fresh way,” said Chris Ciavarra, senior vice president of marketing for Cracker Barrel.
“I feel very blessed and privileged to have had this opportunity,” said Spears. “It was one of the most incredible experiences I have had as an actor. Growing up in CHP has given me the ability to cultivate my acting abilities and prepare me for this step as an actor and performer.”
Brady added, “I felt like such a celebrity on the day of our recording. Dark Horse and Euro RSGC are top-notch professionals, and this opportunity was one in million for me. It is an honor to represent Carriage House and my community.”
