Fayetteville Little League is looking forward to a great season ahead, asking for nominations for someone to throw the first pitch.

“It is our first year to introduce 50/70 for ages 11, 12 and 13,” Ashley Sand, president of Fayetteville Little League, said of the new season. “They will be able to use big barrel hats up to 2 5/8-inch Little League approved.

“You can steal bases, and we are excited to bring 13-year-olds into the game. We are having nine- and 10-year-olds back in their own age division, and the older kids, 9-13, possibly not playing on Saturday to allow travel ball players to be able to play both.”

As a division, a five- and six-year-old age group will be added to All Stars, she said.

“We ask you to send us your nominations for someone to throw the first pitch,” Sand said.

Please mail nominations to Ashley Sand, c/o Fayetteville Recreation Center, 1203 Winchester Highway, Fayetteville, TN 37334
